The Guest Additions icon does NOT appear in the taskbar (ps: someone instructed me to start VboxTray.exe which isn't in Task Manager Processes Tab and I did that, and he instructed me to have it autoload at boot up. Both those tell me that the setup happened. I go to Add/Remove Programs and see Guest Additions 5.1.2 in the list of applications. VirtualBox 5.2.xx can install and run both 32- and 64-bit image files. I made the mistake of upgrading them to 7.0. Both those tell me that the setup happened. I have a Windows 10 64-bit VM on a macOS host in Virtualbox 7.0.6 I previously had guest additions installed (I cant remember which version as I dont often use this VM) and everything was working fine.
